Simply point your client to cat.casa and go!
Notice: If your client does not support delegation you may use matrix.cat.casa, but keep an eye out for this page and the status page if it suddenly stops working!
The new Element (group) calls using Livekit and MatrixRTC should now fully work. I have tested them on both IPv6 and IPv4.
You will need to restart your client or reload the web client for it to reload the configuration.
In rare cases where it refuses to work (Missing MatrixRTC transport) you might need to fully clear cache in the developer settings.
I forgot to move the eturnal server away from a legacy domain - I also decided to replace eturnal with coturn due to debian packaging.
The hairpin NAT is also fixed and now shows the public IPv4 of the dedicated server, which is necessary for turn to work properly.
1:1 legacy calls should work again - if they are broken, please let me know. IPv6 should almost always "just work" due to lack of NAT.
=> 2026-06-04: Now running the compressor on a seperate i7 Server with 400GB(!) Swap. Over 12k rooms are present. Expect some performance impairments.
I am currently working on optimizing the data storage of the matrix server.
Since this involves write and lock operations on the database the server needs to be shut down for some moments.
