2026-03-27 => IN PROGRESS: Optimizing Matrix data storage

I am currently working on optimizing the data storage of the matrix server.

Since this involves write and lock operations on the database the server needs to be shut down for some moments.

The database has grown to over 1.5TB in size, which puts a strain onto the SSDs and impacts performance. 924 rooms have over 100k state events and need to be compressed.

2026-02-13 => System stability should be fixed

I rebuilt the server and cleaned it completely. Temps look fine, installed RAM is now 3000MHz DDR4.

Continuing to monitor using stress-ng, Fixes to the networking issues are work in progress and have been partially applied.
