This document is not in its final form. Expect some minor changes, adjustments
or clarifications. I will most likely move from a "ruleset" style document
to a "terms of service" style document, as these rules can pretty much only
apply and be enforced on public and unencrypted areas, such as:
public rooms, the room directory, user profiles.

The old "code of conduct" was quickly written when cat.casa was originally
launched and was still used for other, non-public services.
This new "ruleset" was also quickly written in order to adjust to new
threats, such as the recent spambots that were created.

This document is terminal (80 cols) friendly.

Scope: The rules only apply to easily accessible/public content.
       This is simply because the rules can/will not be enforced if:
       a password, decryption or special permissions are required for access.

       Note that the rules can only be properly enforced for local users.
       Remote/federated users are to adhere to their own rules/ToS/CoC.
       Federation bans for an entire homeserver/instance will be issued only
       in severe and serial cases. Please use the appropriate moderation tools.

Actions: - In general, a warning will be issued.
         - Account or service termination
           may occour if repeated offense is uncovered.

Reporting: - Contact https://julias.zone/.
           - Include all necessary information.
             Links or other identifiers should generally be enough.
           - All reports are handled neutrally and discretely.
             An offender will only recieve information/verdict/reasoning
             regarding the report and no information on the reporter.
           - A new reporting system is being worked on.

1. No discrimination based on any personal characteristics,
   Including but not limited to:
   - Race, Ethnicity, Origin, Nationality
   - Religion
   - Gender, Sex
   - Sexual and Romantic orientation
   Remain respectful!

2. No harassment, stalking or similar unwanted activities.

3. No spreading of malicious software.
   - Research/archival is okay, infecting without consent is not.
   → Offending files will be removed or redacted.

4. Far-right/right-extremist/fascist content is not welcome.
   - Endorsing Adolf Hitler or denial of the holocaust is not welcome.

5. Avoid illegal activities.
   - Discussing hacking/(D)DoS attacks is fine.
     Threatening, attempting or inciting is not.

6. Media containing any of the following is not welcome:
   - Pornography of parties that cannot/did not consent. This includes
     but is not limited to: animals, children, revenge porn, face swapping.
     → Access will be restricted and the respective
       authorities or organizations will be informed.
   - Violence (including sexual violence)
   - Gore
   - Incest
   This is by no means an exhaustive list.
   → Offending media will be removed or redacted.

7. Do not invade other peoples privacy or boundaries.
   No spreading of personal informations without consent.
   - This ranges from pictures to addresses.
     → Offending content will be removed or redacted.

8. Do not abuse services hosted here.
   - This includes spamming and mass-botting.
     → Registerring an insane amount of similar accounts will result in
       bulk termination.
